Recombinant human Insulin-like Growth Factor-1(IGF-1) is a bioactive protein intended for use in cell culture applications. IGF-1 plays an important role in cellular energy metabolism and in growth and development, especially prenatal growth. IGF-1 exerts its actions exclusively through the IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R). IGF-1 has been involved in proliferation, differentiation, survival, growth, apoptosis and regeneration. Recombinant human IGF-1 is 7.65kDa protein consisting of 70 amino acid residues.
